Counselor's Corner
Dear Burbank Families,
It is an honor and privilege to be able to serve the students, families and community of Burbank Elementary School as the school counselor. My name is Michelle Gonzalez and I am at your service to support our students, their learning and growth. I am happy to be able to collaborate with students, families and our educational partners to ensure the achievement of our Burbank students.
As the school counselor, the services I will be providing will be but not limited to individual, group, or classroom support for conflict resolution, bullying, peer mediation, anger management, academic concerns and study skills, and/or personal issues.
A little about me … I am one of eight children, and I have a twin. I grew up in El Cajon. I have been with the district for 7 years, started out as a guidance assistant and now a school counselor. The most rewarding and valuable thing about being a school counselor is that I help change lives. It's amazing to help students and families get excited about the future and all of the great possibilities that life has to offer. I look forward to learning, growing, and collaborating with you.

Es un honor y un privilegio poder servir a los estudiantes, las familias y la comunidad de la Escuela Primaria Burbank como consejera escolar. Mi nombre es Michelle Gonzalez y estoy a sus órdenes para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes, su aprendizaje y crecimiento. Estoy feliz de poder colaborar con los estudiantes, las familias y nuestros socios educativos para garantizar el rendimiento de nuestros estudiantes de Burbank.
Como consejera escolar, los servicios que brindaré serán, entre otros, apoyo individual, grupal o en el aula para la resolución de conflictos, intimidación, mediación entre compañeros, manejo de la ira, inquietudes académicas y habilidades de estudio y/o problemas personales.
Un poco sobre mí... Soy uno de ocho hijos y tengo una gemela. Crecí en El Cajón. He estado en el distrito durante 7 años, comencé como asistente de orientación y ahora como consejera escolar. Lo más gratificante y valioso de ser un consejero escolar es que ayudo a cambiar vidas. Es increíble ayudar a los estudiantes y las familias a entusiasmarse con el futuro y todas las grandes posibilidades que la vida tiene para ofrecer. Espero aprender, crecer y colaborar con ustedes.
